In the second full week of the National Tour of the Nabisco 600, hundreds of thousands of additional workers, families, and consumers in hundreds of communities learned about the BCTGM’s National Boycott of Made-in-Mexico Nabisco products.
In Atlantic City, N.J., the Tour addressed more than 600 union delegates to the N.J. AFL-CIO Convention. The labor federation represents 1,000 N.J. labor unions and one million working families.
In Pennsylvania, members of the Nabisco 600 Tour addressed the Executive Council of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO. Pennsylvania AFL-CIO represents approximately 800,000 working families throughout the state.
In Maine, the union representatives delivered remarks and distributed materials to the Maine AFL-CIO COPE Convention. The Maine AFL-CIO is a federation of 160 local unions representing 42,000 workers, five central labor councils and six national union and industry councils in the state.
The Tour also addressed delegates to the Utah AFL-CIO Convention in Salt Lake City and the annual meeting of the Labor Research Action Network in Chicago.
