Interfaith Worker Justice will host a press event to kick off an international campaign to expose and investigate Nabisco/Mondelēz as the corporation continues to move good-paying union jobs outside the country to Mexico, where it can pay workers a fraction of the union wages.
The press event will feature testimony from faith leaders who will challenge the immorality of laying off union workers in order to pay non-union workers just a few dollars an hour to perform the same labor.
The event will feature Cook County Commissioner Jesus “Chuy” Garcia, Alderman Carlos Ramirez Rosa, and workers from the Chicago Nabisco plant.
