On May 17, BCTGM members who work for Mondelēz/Nabisco, together with other BCTGM local union members, community activists and representatives from the AFL-CIO and IUF, will rally before the start of the 2017 Mondelēz shareholder meeting in Lincolnshire, Ill.
The demonstration will help further spotlight the corporate greed and worker-exploiting business model of the global giant. The rally will send a loud and clear message to Mondelēz board members and other corporate officers that this business model is destructive to family-sustaining employment, meaningful job and retirement security and the viability of communities that have been adversely impacted by it.

In 2016, BCTGM Nabisco workers and supporters from throughout the U.S. traveled to Illinois to attend the rally before the Mondelēz shareholders meeting.
Following the rally, BCTGM workers and union representatives will attend the Mondelēz shareholder meeting. The BCTGM and its supporters will be speaking out not just for Mondelēz/Nabisco workers who have lost their jobs in the United States, but also for workers across the world who are demoralized and worried about their future and the direction of the company.
The rally will begin at 8 a.m. outside the Noah’s Event Center, where the Mondelēz shareholders will meet. Noah’s Event Center is located at 200 Barclay Blvd. in Lincolnshire. The BCTGM invites all supporters and their families to attend. Send an RSVP email to rally organizers at the BCTGM Campaign Contact Center, Nabisco600@bctgm.org. Please let us know that you are attending the rally so that we can recognize you during the event.
Should you not be able to attend the rally in person, support those taking a stand against Mondelēz in Lincolnshire on May 17th by sending messages of solidarity to be read during the event. Solidarity photos are also welcome. Messages can be sent to BCTGM International Strategic Campaign Coordinator Ron Baker at RBaker@bctgm.org and IUF representative Sarah Meyer at Sarah.Meyer@iuf.org.
