When the faces of laid-off Nabisco workers from Chicago are recognized as the symbols of the movement to stop corporate greed, we can say with certainty that the campaign to highlight the corporate agenda of Mondelez is successful.
The Facebook page of Local 300 has been viewed by millions and the above photo has been shared more than 67,000 times on social media. All the while, the Nabisco 600 Tour continues to gain momentum and recognition throughout the U.S. as Nabisco 600 members canvas the country exposing Mondelez and its anti-worker, anti-community and anti-family business model. Thousands of activists have pledged their support and continue to educate others within their communities on the boycott of made-in-Mexico Nabisco products.
From the California AFL-CIO Labor Federation Convention in Oakland, Calif. and Maine AFL-CIO Cope Convention in Auburn, Maine, to Rock the TPP events in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Ore. and media interviews with Japan’s Nippon TV, the reach of the Nabisco 600 is astounding. And the interest and outrage over the misguided corporate behavior of Mondelez continues to grow.
Pictured here are only a few highlights of recent Nabisco 600 actions across the country. Stay updated on Nabisco 600 happenings by visiting the Local 300 Facebook page (search @fightforamericanjobs) and follow @BCTGM_Nabisco on Twitter.
