Mondelez ‘preparing to replace’ CEO Irene Rosenfeld
According to a April 10 report in the Wall Street Journal, Mondelez International is reportedly preparing to launch a search for a replacement to CEO Irene Rosenfeld. The WSJ report cited shareholder pressure and a consumer shift to healthier eating habits, as motivating factors behind the CEO replacement plan.
Mondelez has hired recruiting company Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. According to the Wall Street Journal, the timing of Rosenfeld’s departure has been left to her discretion and Heidrick & Struggles have not yet been asked to begin interviewing candidates to fill the CEO position.
The report revealed that Mondelez revenue dropped more than 12% in 2016.
